"Or there are bodhisattvas who enter the samādhi of benevolence, pervading the east throughout infinite, immeasurable, asankhyeya realms, equal to the sands of the Ganges, toward the categories of sentient beings, feeling benevolent pity and affectionate care, wishing to bring about their liberation. Just as taking one grain of sand from the sands of the Ganges, passing lands equal to the sands of the Ganges, and depositing one grain, in this way exhausting the sands of the Ganges, their benevolent mind is not exhausted; the bodhisattva's vow is firm and unshakeable. Even if someone comes and takes the bodhisattva's body, slicing it piece by piece, immediately filling the trichiliocosm, the blood transforms into milk like a mother caring for her child: this is the bodhisattva practicing the samādhi of benevolence, immediately accomplishing the unsurpassed Path within the womb.
