「願弟子等，承是懺悔畜生等報所生功德，生生世世滅愚癡垢自識業緣，智慧明照斷惡道身。願以懺悔餓鬼等報所生功德，生生世世永離慳貪飢渴之苦，常飡甘露解脫之味。願以懺悔鬼神修羅等報所生功德，生生世世質直無諂，離邪命因除醜陋果福利人天。

"May we disciples, by relying on the merit generated from this repentance of the retributions of animals and the rest, in life after life extinguish the defilement of foolishness, recognize of ourselves the conditions of karma, and with the bright illumination of wisdom sever bodies belonging to the evil paths. May we, by the merit generated from repenting the retributions of hungry ghosts and the rest, in life after life be forever free from the suffering of stingy greed, hunger, and thirst, and constantly partake of the flavor of nectar and liberation. May we, by the merit generated from repenting the retributions of ghosts, spirits, asuras, and the rest, in life after life be upright, straightforward, and free of flattery, leave behind the causes of wrong livelihood, eliminate the fruits of ugliness, and bring blessing and benefit to humans and devas.
