"Fourth, as for arousing the aspiration for bodhi: the sūtra says: 'One should delight in the Buddha's body. The Buddha's body is the dharmakāya. It is born from immeasurable merit and wisdom, born from the six pāramitās, born from benevolence, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity, born from the thirty-seven factors aiding bodhi; from such manifold merits and wisdom is the Tathāgata's body produced.' Those who wish to obtain this body should arouse the aspiration for bodhi, seek the sarvajñā-fruit of omniscience which is permanent, blissful, self, and pure, purify the Buddha lands, mature sentient beings, and begrudge neither body, life, nor wealth.
