17.50

"O bhikṣu! Even if I were to abide in the world for kalpas as numerous as microfine dust particles, my explanation of those who share the same name of Śākyamuni Buddha could never be exhausted. Likewise for those who share the same name of Dīpaṃkara Buddha, Devayan Buddha, Dīpaprabhā Buddha, Sarvājita Buddha, Yaśorāja Buddha, Padmottama Buddha, Vipaśyin Buddha, Śikhin Buddha, Viśvabhū Buddha, Krakucchanda Buddha, Kanakamuni Buddha, and Kāśyapa Buddha. Those who entered nirvāṇa having mothers of different names, down to attendants of different names—I know those Buddhas as though they were present before me. You ought to reverently pay homage to such Buddhas as these."
