"We disciples! From anādikāla until the present day, we have perhaps believed in heterodox and inverted views, slaughtered living beings, and offered rituals and memorials to chimi, wangliang, ghosts, and spirits, hoping to prolong our lifespans yet ultimately failing to attain it. Or we have falsely claimed to see ghosts or pretended to speak the words of spirits. Such sins are immeasurable and boundless; today with shame and remorse we disclose and perform kṣamā for them.
