1.23

'May we disciples, by the power of the merit generated through this confession and repentance of our offenses of killing and harming, in life after life, attain vajra bodies with inexhaustible lifespans, remain forever free from hostility and malice, never conceive thoughts of killing, and attain the stage of regarding all sentient beings as an only child. Seeing those in peril and dire distress, may we not begrudge life or limb, but skillfully employ expedients to rescue and liberate them; and thereafter, expound the wondrous true Dharma for them, so that all sentient beings, seeing our forms or shadows, may all receive peace and bliss, and hearing our names or voices, may have all terror dispelled. Having confessed, repented, and made vows, we take refuge and pay homage to the Three Jewels.'
