1.7

若多婬欲人，不淨法門治；若多瞋恚人，慈心法門治；若多愚癡人，思惟觀因緣法門治；若多思覺人，念息法門治；若多等分人，念佛法門治。諸如是等種種病，種種法門治。

If a person has much lust, the Dharma gate of impurity cures it; if a person has much anger, the Dharma gate of loving-kindness cures it; if a person has much folly, the Dharma gate of contemplating causes and conditions through reflection cures it; if a person has much conceptual thinking, the Dharma gate of mindfulness of breathing cures it; if a person has equal shares [of the three poisons], the Dharma gate of mindfulness of the Buddha cures it. Such various illnesses as these are cured by various Dharma gates.
