云何為少信？於佛、菩薩、辟支佛、阿羅漢邊為少，於野人邊為多；復次，此可破可失，是故名少。如《法句》說：
Why is it called 'slight faith'? Beside the Buddha, bodhisattvas, pratyekabuddhas, and arhats, it is slight; beside ordinary persons (pṛthagjana), it is great. Furthermore, this can be broken and can be lost, and is therefore called slight. As the Dharmapada says:
