2.32

「芭蕉生實死，竹生實亦然！
騾有子則死，小人得養死。
破失非利故，小人得名譽；
白淨分失盡，乃至頂法墮。」

“The plantain bears fruit and dies;
The bamboo bearing fruit is also thus!
A mule having offspring dies;
A petty person receiving offerings dies.
Through destruction and loss that are unprofitable,
The petty person gains renown;
His white and pure qualities are completely lost,
Falling away even from the summit dharma.”
