2.18

「若此人過去世不犯四重禁、現在世不破四重禁，見諸神時即見道跡。若犯戒者，是諸神王教已懺悔，足滿千日然後得見彌勒菩薩及文殊師利諸大士等，後獲道跡。」

"If this person has not breached the four heavy prohibitions in past lives and does not break the four heavy prohibitions in his present life, upon seeing these deities he will immediately see the traces of the Path. If he has breached the precepts, these deity kings will instruct him to repent; when a full thousand days have elapsed, only then will he get to see Maitreya Bodhisattva, Mañjuśrī, and other mahāsattvas, and subsequently attain the traces of the Path."
