2.52

佛說是語時，五百釋子倍更增進，具六神通；舍衛城中一千首陀羅宿世行禪發狂之者，聞佛所說即生歡喜，得須陀洹；八十億諸天治四大病，身心無患，應時即發無上道心，普雨天花以散佛上及諸大眾。

When the Buddha spoke these words, five hundred Śākyas advanced doubly and became endowed with the six supernormal knowledges; one thousand śūdras in the city of Śrāvastī who had gone mad from practicing dhyāna in past lives immediately gave rise to joy upon hearing what the Buddha said and attained srotāpanna; eighty billion devas cured their diseases of the four great elements, their bodies and minds free from affliction, and right then gave rise to the aspiration for unsurpassed bodhi, universally raining heavenly flowers to scatter over the Buddha and the great assembly.
