「如此鬼神，住虛空時名虛空鬼、在床褥間名腹行鬼。復有三名：一名深索（沙劇反）迦伏丘那丘泥脂隷覆嗅覆嗅阿摩勒迦沙禍訶，方道鬼、魑魅鬼、魍魎鬼、飡膿鬼、食唾鬼、水神鬼、火神鬼、山神鬼、園林神鬼、婦女鬼、男子鬼、童男鬼、童女鬼、剎利鬼、婆羅門鬼、毘舍鬼、首陀羅鬼、步行鬼、倒行鬼、騎乘鬼、驢耳鬼、虎頭鬼、猫子聲鬼、鳩鴿鬼、車鵂聲鬼、士鵁鳥鬼、角鵄鳥鬼，或復化作八部鬼神、虛耗鬼、八角鬼、白鼠鬼、蓮華色鬼、狐魅鬼、鬼魅鬼、百蟲精魅鬼、四惡毘舍遮鬼、鳩槃荼鬼。如是等醜惡鬼神六十三種，是鬼神名。

"When such a spirit abides in space, it is called the Space Ghost; when between bed and mattress, it is called the Belly-Crawling Ghost. Furthermore, it has three names: one is Shensoka (pronounced sha-ju) Jiafu Qiuna Qiuni Zhili Fuxiu Fuxiu Amolejia Shahaohe; [it is also] the Fangdao Ghost, Chimeng Ghost, Wangliang Ghost, Pus-Eating Ghost, Spittle-Eating Ghost, Water Spirit Ghost, Fire Spirit Ghost, Mountain Spirit Ghost, Grove and Garden Spirit Ghost, Woman Ghost, Man Ghost, Young Boy Ghost, Young Girl Ghost, Kṣatriya Ghost, Brāhmaṇa Ghost, Vaiśya Ghost, Śūdra Ghost, Walking Ghost, Backward-Walking Ghost, Riding Ghost, Donkey-Eared Ghost, Tiger-Headed Ghost, Cat-Voiced Ghost, Dove Ghost, Screech-Owl-Voiced Ghost, Shijiao-Bird Ghost, Horned-Owl-Bird Ghost, or again transforming into spirits of the eight classes, the Depletion Ghost, Eight-Horned Ghost, White Mouse Ghost, Lotus-Colored Ghost, Fox Spirit Ghost, Demonic Ghost, Hundred-Insect Spirit Ghost, Four Evil Piśāca Ghosts, and Kumbhāṇḍa Ghost. Such ugly and evil spirits of sixty-three kinds are the names of this spirit.
