"If there is a practitioner who practices in an araṇya, cultivating the twelve minds, and in ānāpāna, because an external harsh sound contacts the internal mental faculty, the four hundred and four channels, holding the mind tightly, become agitated all at once. Because the wind force is strong, madness initially arises; the mental channels churn, and the five winds enter the throat, first causing abusive speech. One should teach this practitioner to consume ghee, honey, and harītakī, fix the mind in one place, and first visualize a mirror of crystal color, observing their own body within that mirror performing various mad acts. Having seen this, they should further contemplate again and say: 'In the bright mirror, you yourself see your own body performing mad and delusional acts, and your parents and kin all see you performing inauspicious acts. I now teach you the Dharma for leaving behind madness and delusion; you should remember and know it. First, teach the removal of sound.'
