"Afterwards, one should then bathe the body and put on the saṅghāṭī again. Entering a stūpa, with single-minded focus join the palms and closely contemplate the light of the great man mark of the Tathāgata's white ūrṇā between the eyebrows for one to seven days, and return to the wise person to seek confession and repentance. The wise person should say: 'Bhikṣu! Now contemplate your own body, like a golden vase containing four venomous snakes—two pointing up, two pointing down—frighteningly spitting venom. Further contemplate a six-headed dragon coiling around the vase, the dragon also spitting venom dripping into the mouths of the snakes. Large trees of the four directions emerge from the golden vase, filling the three realms. A black elephant comes again, wishing to uproot these trees, and fire flares up on all four sides.' Having seen this, [the wise person] should say: 'Bhikṣu, you should know: the golden vase is the earth-vapor; the blue snake is born from the wind element and is the poison of the wind element; the green snake is born from the water element and is the poison of the water element; the white snake is born from the earth element and is the poison of the earth element; the yellow snake is born from the fire element and is the poison of the fire element; the six-headed dragon is the five aggregates and emptiness within your body. Such a body is venomous, harmful, and impure; how could you indulge in evil, breaking precepts without curing it?'"
