"The method of curing it is: first visualize a vaiḍūrya vat containing water of various colors and growing various jewel flowers, atop which are hundreds of thousands of transformed Buddhas. The transformed bodhisattvas each emit [rays from their] ūrṇās to illuminate all the flames, causing the flames to turn into golden dragons. When the practitioner sees this, he gives rise to joy. He visualizes placing the vat beneath the fire, with the flower terrace above. Going to the Buddha's presence, he grasps the vat with his hands, and his hands immediately feel cool; thereupon he throws his whole body beside the vat and pays homage to the Buddha. He then sees the transformed Buddha emit light from between his eyebrows, raining drops of amṛta that sprinkle across all his joints; wherever a drop falls transforms into vaiḍūrya, thereby irrigating the large intestine. The large and small intestines become filled with amṛta, the fire gradually subsides, and various jewel flowers grow, emitting light of red and white colors.
