"When this visualization is complete, he contemplates internal emptiness and external emptiness, whereupon hundreds of thousands of limitless Buddhas appear before him, pouring water upon his crown, binding silk ribbons to his head, and expounding for him the empty Dharma. By means of the mind of emptiness, he awakens and enters the bodhisattva stage; this is called the stage of nature—the initial realm of a bodhisattva. (Regarding this method, one often conceives haughty pride; one should recognize it, for this is the sign of the initial realm of the bodhi-mind.)"
