1.56

「爾時耶輸陀羅父，以手申太子白毛，見其白毛，如頗梨憧，節節相當，於眾節間見有無量百千梵王、釋提桓因，諸勝天子與宮殿俱，了了而見，如於明鏡自觀面像。見已歡喜，尋復放捨，如前右旋還住眉間，光明赫奕四面布散，入輪郭中不可悉說，是名菩薩納妃時白毫相。」

"At that time Yaśodharā's father extended the Prince's white hair with his hand. He saw that the white hair was like a crystal banner, with joint corresponding to joint, and between the joints he saw immeasurable hundreds of thousands of Brahmā kings and Śakra Devendra, along with various supreme devaputras and their palaces, seen with complete clarity, just like seeing the image of one's own face in a bright mirror. Having seen it, he was filled with joy, and immediately released it. As before, it curled to the right and returned to rest between the eyebrows, its brilliant light radiant and blazing, scattering across the four quarters and entering into the contours beyond full description. This is called the mark of the white curl at the time of the Bodhisattva taking a consort."
