佛說是已，爾時父王即從坐起，正衣服為佛作禮，遶佛七匝，䠒跪合掌白佛言：「世尊！如來身色一切覩見，惟佛心內有何境界、有何相貌、修行何事、佛心所念為是何物、佛心光明何所像類？」

When the Buddha had spoken this, his royal father immediately arose from his seat, adjusted his robes, paid homage to the Buddha, circumambulated the Buddha seven times, knelt with palms joined, and addressed the Buddha, saying: "Bhagavat! Everyone has seen the bodily appearance of the Tathāgata. Yet within the Buddha's mind, what spheres are there? What appearances are there? What practices are performed? What is it that the Buddha's mind contemplates? What does the light of the Buddha's mind resemble?"
