At that time, the Tathāgata smiled, and the light from his tongue mark, as described above, circumambulated the Buddha seven times and entered through the crown of the Buddha's head. At that time, the Tathāgata entered the samādhi of the marks of liberation, causing his royal father to see it. It was like a lapis lazuli cave becoming an image of genuine gold. Inside the image of genuine gold, within the Buddha's chest, was a lapis lazuli tube descending from the Buddha's throat. He saw the Tathāgata's heart like a red lotus flower, adorned and reflected by golden flowers, red flowers with golden light, neither open nor closed, rounded like a heart, with eighty-four thousand channels, each channel like one painted by a celestial painter; within each painting were eighty-four thousand rays of light; within each ray of light were eighty-four thousand kinds of colors; within each color were transformation Buddhas as numerous as fine dust motes; each transformation Buddha sat upon a diamond terrace; the diamond terraces emitted golden-colored light, the rays being countless and impossible to describe fully; and within each ray were also transformation Buddhas, equal in number to what was said above. These transformation Buddhas all extended the broad and long tongue mark up to the hairline; each Buddha's tongue had one hundred million rays of light, which coalesced into ten thousand segments; upon each ray were tens of billions of transformation Buddhas sitting cross-legged, entering the samādhi of universal manifestation of the form-body; the subtle and wondrous form-bodies of the Buddhas of the ten directions entered this samādhi ocean."
