6.57

佛告阿難：「佛滅度後佛諸弟子，知佛如來下忉利天及見佛像，除却千劫極重惡業。如是觀者名為正觀，若異觀者名為邪觀。」

The Buddha told Ānanda: "After the Buddha's parinirvāṇa, if the Buddha's disciples know the Tathāgata Buddha's descent from the Trāyastriṃśa heaven and see the Buddha image, they will eradicate extremely heavy evil karma of a thousand kalpas. Contemplating in this way is called correct contemplation; contemplating otherwise is called false contemplation."
