7.14

「爾時龍王見世尊來，父子徒黨十六大龍，興大雲雷震吼雨雹，眼中出火口亦吐火，鱗甲身毛俱出烟焰；五羅剎女現醜惡形，眼如掣電住立佛前。時龍王子！見虛空中滿中化佛，白其父言：『父王吐火欲害一佛，試看空中有無數佛！』時龍吐毒心意猛盛，訶責其子：『惟有一佛何處有多？』

"At that time, seeing the Bhagavat coming, the nāga king and his sixteen great nāga kinsmen and followers raised great clouds and thunder, roaring and raining down hailstones. Fire issued from their eyes and fire was also spat from their mouths, while smoke and flames poured forth from their scales and body hairs. The five rākṣasīs manifested hideous forms, their eyes like flashing lightning, standing before the Buddha. At that time the nāga prince, seeing the open sky filled with transformation Buddhas, said to his father: 'Father King, you spew fire wishing to harm one Buddha; just look, there are countless Buddhas in the sky!' The nāga, spewing venom with his furious mind, rebuked his son: 'There is only one Buddha! Where could there be so many?'
