9.7

佛告文殊：「佛子！汝今在座作此觀時，地生蓮華縱廣正等滿一由旬。」文殊師利及諸菩薩坐蓮華上，爾時文殊師利法王子既已坐竟，白佛言：「世尊！我今自欲說於往昔本生因緣，唯願世尊加我威神！」

The Buddha told Mañjuśrī: “Son of the Buddha! Just now as you performed this contemplation in your seat, lotuses emerged from the earth, measuring precisely one yojana in length and breadth.” Mañjuśrī and the bodhisattvas sat upon the lotuses. Having seated himself, the Dharma Prince Mañjuśrī addressed the Buddha, saying: “Bhagavat! I now wish to speak myself of the causal conditions of my past lives. May the Bhagavat empower me with his spiritual authority!”
