At that time, the Bhagavat returned to sit on the lion seat, extended his feet, and displayed the mark of the thousand-spoked wheel to the women. The women saw only wondrous lotuses issuing from the wheel mark, and the transformation Buddhas atop the flowers were like ink men. Again, they joined their palms, paid homage to the Buddha, and said: "Bhagavat! We have been disciples of the Buddha for a long time, yet only today do we see the wondrous lotuses, and we see the transformation Buddhas smeared as if with ink. What transgression from past lives has caused our eyes to be so blind?"
