"Furthermore, there are sentient beings who commit the four grave prohibitions, consume the offerings of the faithful in vain, hold slandering and perverse views, fail to recognize cause and effect, abandon the study of prajñā, slander the Buddhas of the ten directions, steal the property of the Saṅgha, engage in unrestrained and immoral lust, violate and ravish fully ordained nuns of pure precepts, and, feeling no shame toward their sisters or relatives, dishonor and humiliate those close to them and commit numerous evil deeds. When such persons' retributions for sin arrive and their lives are about to end, wind-knives dismember their bodies. They toss and turn restlessly as though being beaten with whips. Their minds become deranged and wildly disordered, generating mad and foolish thoughts. They see their own dwellings, men and women, young and old, as all being impure things, with the foul stench of feces and urine overflowing outside.
