When these words had been spoken, the light of the Tathāgata's body became twice as brilliant. The transformation Buddhas and jeweled lotuses on the Buddha's body were of unknowable number, the light of each blossom as described in the Gaṇḍavyūha: 'Contemplating in this manner is called right contemplation; contemplating otherwise is called wrong contemplation. After the Buddha's parinirvāṇa, those disciples of the Buddha who cultivate the six recollections are called those who are mindful of the Buddha-mind. Being mindful of the Buddha-mind eradicates the offenses of birth-and-death for twelve hundred million kalpas. Those who perform this contemplation, in whatever place they are born life after life, will never hold wrong views, their minds will not be perverted or erroneous, and they will constantly meet unarisen bodhisattvas. If such a person is born in a borderland where there is no Buddhadharma, by the power of the merit of mindfulness of the Buddha, they will naturally awaken and become a pratyekabuddha.' At that time, after the Bhagavat had spoken these words, he gathered in the light of his body, which returned to its original state without difference.
