"Then Śākyamuni Buddha extends his right hand to stroke the crown of the practitioner's head, and all the transformation Buddhas also extend their right hands to stroke the crown of the practitioner's head. One who attains this contemplation is said to have the samādhi of the Buddhas' direct presence; it is also called the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi; it is also called the samādhi of contemplating the Buddha's rūpakāya. At that time, all the Buddhas, with one voice, each preach the Dharma for the practitioner. Although they have not yet attained the Path, having seen the Buddhas and heard the Dharma, they retain it completely without loss; this is called the ordinary person's buddhānusmṛti-samādhi. One who attains this samādhi constantly sees the Buddhas moment by moment, and in every single thought-moment hears the Buddhas preach the Dharma—namely the Mahāyāna vaipulya scriptures—attaining mastery of them in a single day and night. Born from parents with a physical body in an afflicted, turbid, and evil world, by virtue of mindfulness of the Buddha one hears and retains the dhāraṇīs. Casting off this body in another life, one is certain to see the Buddhas, and in the presence of the Buddhas attains tens of millions of millions of whirling dhāraṇīs. Having attained the dhāraṇīs, eighty billion Buddhas each extend their right hand to stroke the crown of the practitioner's head, and each and every Buddha speaks words of prediction: 'Because of your mindfulness of the Buddha, after passing beyond the Nakṣatra Kalpa, you shall become a Buddha, your physical marks and radiant light being no different from mine!' Having spoken these words, the eighty billion Buddhas emit light all at once, and within the light there are again immeasurable transformation Buddhas, each transformation Buddha speaking these very words."
