舍利弗行受人飯已，還精舍中，言當償債：「謂當坐禪念道為償債，不念道為負債行受人施，譬如負債未畢復更，取前罪未竟，今復造罪。」

After Śāriputra had gone about receiving food from people, he returned to the vihāra and said that he must repay the debt: 'Sitting in meditation and recollecting the Way is repaying the debt; not recollecting the Way while going about receiving alms from people is being indebted. It is like having an unpaid debt and incurring another, or having an earlier fault unatoned and now committing another fault.'"
