At that time, the Bhagavat addressed Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva, saying: "Excellent, excellent! Kulaputra, you are well able to inquire on behalf of the bodhisattvas about the Dharma-practices of the Tathāgata's causal stage, and so that all sentient beings in the latter age who seek the Mahāyāna may attain correct dwelling and not fall into false views. Listen closely now! I shall expound it for you." Then Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva received the teaching with joy, and the great assembly listened in silence.
