爾時，毘盧遮那世尊復觀諸大眾會，告執金剛祕密主言：「佛子有祕密八印最為祕密。聖天之位威神所同，自真言道以為標幟，圖其滿漫荼羅如本尊相應。若依法教，於真言門修菩薩行，諸菩薩應如是知，自身住本尊形堅固不動，知本尊住已如本尊而得悉地。云何八印？

At that time, the World-Honoured One Vairocana again surveyed the great assembly and addressed the Vajradhara Guhyakādhipati, saying: "Son of the Buddha, there are eight secret mudrās that are most secret. They share the majesty and spiritual power of the stations of the noble devas, take the path of their own mantras as their dhvajas, and depict their full maṇḍala in accordance with the iṣṭadevatā. If one practices the bodhisattva conduct in the mantra-gate according to the Dharma teachings, bodhisattvas should know this: abide firmly and immovably with one's own body in the form of the iṣṭadevatā; having known the abiding of the iṣṭadevatā, attain siddhi just as the iṣṭadevatā. What are the eight mudrās?
