「北方觀自在，祕密曼陀羅，
佛子一心聽。普遍四方相，
中吉祥商佉，出生鉢曇華，
開數含果實。承以大蓮印，
光色如皓月，商佉軍那華，
微笑坐白蓮。髻現無量壽，
住普觀三昧，蓮華部眷屬，
最西第一置：

"The secret maṇḍala of Avalokiteśvara / in the northern direction: / sons of the Buddha, listen with one mind. / With four-sided aspects everywhere, / in the center is an auspicious conch shell, / producing a padma flower, / blooming and holding fruit within. / Borne by the great lotus mudrā, / whose light and color are like the bright moon, / a conch shell, and the kunda flower, / smiling and seated on a white lotus. / On his topknot manifests Amitāyus; / he abides in the universal vision samādhi. / As for the retinue of the lotus division, / place the first furthest west:
