爾時觀世音菩薩還從會中安祥而起，偏袒右肩，頂禮佛足而白世尊：「我曾過去世中於諸佛所得陀羅尼。我今欲說，願聽許。」

At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva serenely rose again from the assembly, bared his right shoulder, bowed his head to the Buddha's feet, and addressed the World-Honoured One: "In a past life, I obtained a dhāraṇī from the Buddhas. I now wish to utter it; may you grant permission."
