At that time, the Buddhas of the ten directions each commanded a great bodhisattva holding flowers, incense, jeweled banners, flags, and canopies, each leading a retinue numerous as the sands of the Gaṅgā also holding incense and flowers. The Buddhas of the ten directions addressed the great bodhisattvas, saying: "Take these incense and flowers to the Sahā world to make offerings to Śākyamuni Tathāgata. Convey my instructions and inquire after his well-being." Then the bodhisattvas, relying on the Buddha's majestic power, came to the Sahā world and arrived in the midst of the assembly in the great city of Rājagṛha. They circumambulated the Buddha three times, bowed their heads to the Buddha's feet, withdrew to stand to one side, scattered the incense and flowers into the air, and spoke thus: "Those World-Honoured Ones commanded us to come here and inquire after the World-Honoured One: 'Are you free from slight illness and little trouble, and is your daily life easy and buoyant? If you wish to expound the Great Dharma, now is precisely the time.' We pray only that the World-Honoured One expound it for us and for all sentient beings." At that time, all the śrāvakas, bodhisattvas, the great assembly of humans and devas, and the eight classes of dragons and spirits in the assembly bowed together and, with one voice, addressed the Buddha: "World-Honoured One! We pray only that you take pity and expound it for us; we delight to hear the secret divine mantra of the Tathāgata's Radiant Supreme Sovereign Power King."
