Cattāro naṃ devaputtāti cattāro mahārājāno. Paṭiggahetvāti ajinappaveṇiyā paṭiggahetvā. Mahesakkhoti mahātejo mahāyaso lakkhaṇasampanno.
“Four sons of the gods” means the Four Great Kings. “Having received” means having received with an antelope-hide rug. “Of great majesty” means of great splendor, of great fame, endowed with the marks.
