Brahmuno hetaṃ pubbanimittanti yathā sūriyassa udayato etaṃ pubbaṅgamaṃ etaṃ pubbanimittaṃ yadidaṃ aruṇuggaṃ, evameva brahmunopi etaṃ – ‘‘pubbanimitta’’nti dīpeti.

"This is the Brahma's portent": just as the rise of dawn is the precursor and the portent of the rising sun, so too this illustrates the portent of the Brahma.
