"Having paid homage to the Blessed One, having circumambulated him from the right" (DN ii 188) means: receiving the Blessed One's teaching of the Dhamma with his mind, rejoicing in it, praising it with speech, giving approval to it, placing a great añjali on his head, entering within the network of six-colored rays of the Possessor of the Ten Powers as if plunging into clear lac-dye, venerating him in four places, circumambulating him from the right three times, and continuously praising the Blessed One, he disappeared right before the Teacher and went to his own deva world.
