Bahūnaṃ ācariyapācariyoti bhagavato ekekāya dhammadesanāya caturāsītipāṇasahassāni aparimāṇāpi devamanussā maggaphalāmataṃ pivanti, tasmā bahūnaṃ ācariyo. Sāvakaveneyyānaṃ pana pācariyoti.

“Teacher of teachers to many”: at each teaching of the Dhamma by the Blessed One, eighty-four thousand living beings and even immeasurable gods and humans drink the deathless of the paths and fruits; therefore he is a teacher to many. But to the disciples who are to be trained, he is a teacher of teachers.
