Evaṃ paresaṃ vādena saha attano vādassa samānāsamānataṃ dassetvā idāni attano vādena saha paresaṃ vādassa samānāsamānataṃ dassento ‘‘yaṃ maya’’ntiādimāha. Tatrāpi pañcasīlādivaseneva attho veditabbo.

Having thus shown the agreement and disagreement of his own doctrine with the doctrine of others, now, showing the agreement and disagreement of the doctrine of others with his own doctrine, he said: ‘That which we,’ and so on. There too the meaning should be understood in terms of the five precepts and so on.
