‘‘Upemi saraṇaṃ buddhaṃ, dhammañcāpi anuttaraṃ;
Saṅghañca naradevassa, gacchāmi saraṇaṃ ahaṃ.

I seek refuge in the Buddha, and likewise in his incomparable Law,
And in the Order of the Prince of Men do I seek refuge.
