Inside those ponds were boats made of the seven precious substances, in which many sentient beings took pleasure and enjoyed themselves as they wished. Between those precious trees, lion thrones one yojana in height were arranged, adorned with the seven precious substances, draped in layers of divine robes, smelling of divine incense, and strewn with petals of divine flowers. Upon a throne, the Tathāgata Padmottara-sphuṭa-prabha sat cross-legged, surrounded by immeasurable hundreds of thousands of koṭis of bodhisattvas who bowed before him with palms joined and addressed the Tathāgata in unison: 'Bhagavān, for what cause and condition has this sublime, brilliant, matchless light of blue, yellow, red, and white shone from the southern direction upon this great retinue, such that all those touched by the light become joyful in body and mind? Out of compassion, may the Bhagavān please explain!' To this, the Bhagavān replied: 'Noble sons, listen well and take it thoroughly to heart; I will explain and expound it to you. Beyond hundreds of thousands of koṭis of nayutas of world realms to the south from here, there is a buddha realm named Sahā. There, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, One endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the world, Unsurpassed charioteer of beings to be trained, Teacher, Victor, Buddha, Bhagavān named Śākyamuni resides surrounded by a great retinue, teaching to that entire great assembly the skill in means'
