ascertains, based upon the unerring, abiding nature and status of phenomena; and prajñā that has abandoned afflictions. In another enumeration, it is subtle because it engages with knowable objects just as they are; it is skillful because it engages with as many knowable objects as there are; it is innate because it previously correctly attained the collection of wisdom; it is scriptural because it adopts and retains the dharmas and meanings correctly taught by the buddhas and the bodhisattvas abiding on the great bhūmis; and it is endowed with discernment because it embraces the stages from the stage of pure intention upward down to the stage of final culmination. What is prajñā of all modes? There are six qualities and seven aspects, which in total make thirteen kinds. Among them, the six qualities are: knowing suffering among the truths; knowing the origin; knowing cessation; knowing the path; and the final knowledge of exhaustion and knowledge of non-arising. The seven aspects are: knowledge of dharmas; knowledge of inference; conventional knowledge; knowledge of superknowledges; knowledge of characteristics; knowledge preceded by the ten powers; and knowledge of reasoning concerning the four reasonings. What is prajñā for those who are destitute and longing? There are eight kinds: starting from knowing the enumerations of dharmas, the bodhisattva's analytical knowledge of dharmas; starting from knowing the characteristics of dharmas, the analytical knowledge of meanings; starting from knowing the definitive words of dharmas, the analytical knowledge of etymology; starting from distinguishing the bases of the modes of dharmas, the analytical knowledge of eloquence; the bodhisattva's prajñā that refutes all adversaries; the prajñā that establishes all of one's own formulations; and the continuum of householders
