زبان می گوید: دل تو از توقد نیران فرقت همدم آتشکده رومیان گشته است، اگر دهان به تقریر پیغام او بگشایم زبانهای آن مراد کاغذ و قلم را پاک بسوزاند و خاکستر گرداند، نه من تو را به کام توانم رسانید و نه خامه دستگیری تواند کرد، این ورق تمنا در نورد و از این فکرت بی فایده باز کرد «الرجوع الی الحق خیر من التمادی فی الباطل»1.

The tongue says: ‘From the blazing of the fires of separation your heart has become a companion to the fire-temple of the Romans; if I open my mouth
to deliver his message, the flames of that desire will utterly burn the paper and pen and turn them to ashes. Neither can I
bring you to your desire, nor can the reed pen give assistance; fold up this leaf of longing and turn back from this
useless thought, for “Returning to the truth is better than persisting in falsehood.”’
