At the time of departure and the breaking up of the camp, the pigeons will follow, the cots being carried by bearers (kahar). Sometimes they will alight and take rest for a while, and then rise again. It would be difficult to count the pigeons at Court; but there are more than twenty thousand. Five hundred of them are khasah. They have a great reputation, and remarkable stories are told of their skill.
