He is the son of Shaikh Hasan, the quack doctor of Sirhind. His skill in surgery is great, and in the treatment of elephants he is one of the wonders of the age. Latterly, he has become the prey of mischievous hallucinations.
There are also among the physicians others, obscure Musalmans and accursed Hindus, from writing of whom my heart revolts.
