In the meantime Tuk-Tughan and his people, marching westward towards the Kankuli steppe, had been intercepted by Juji Khan near the great mountain range forming the northern boundary of the present Kashghar state, as previously related. I think I have here shown that Kodu, brother of the Bigi, Tukta, the Makrit, and Tuk-Tughan, the Makrit, are different persons, and that the Makrits were not wholly destroyed when defeated by Sahudah.
