lokasiddho bhaved rājā pareśo nāparaḥ smṛtaḥ /
dehasya nāśo muktis tu na jñānān muktir iṣyate //

The king, recognized by common experience, is the supreme lord; no other is taught. / The destruction of the body is liberation, but liberation is not accepted as coming from knowledge.

The king known to the world is the supreme lord, no other is taught; liberation is the destruction of the body, not liberation through knowledge.
