atha rūpopādānajanyatve 'pi jñānarūpataiva, rūpasyāpi jñānarūpatā prāptā rūpopādānajanyatvāj jñānavat / atha jñānaṃ jñānenopādānabhūtena janyate, rūpam api tenaiva janyate / na hi tasya rūpotpādanātmānyatvam / evaṃ ca

Now, if [you argue that] even though it is produced from visible matter as a material cause, it has only the nature of cognition, then visible matter too would result in having the nature of cognition, because it is produced from visible matter as a material cause, just like cognition. If [you argue that] cognition is produced by cognition acting as a material cause, visible matter too must be produced by that very [cognition]; for it does not have a different nature for producing visible matter. And thus:
