2.18

anyac ca --- kāryārthijanadravyabhakṣaṇāya, svaśaktikhyāpanāya ca svalpam api rogaṃ purastād vardhayanti bhiṣajaḥ | tataś ca kadācid asau teṣām evāsādhyatām āyāti | tathā ca ---

And another [point]: physicians, in order to devour the wealth of people who have come with needs, and to display their own competence, first aggravate even a slight disease; and from that, sometimes it becomes incurable even for them. And so [it is said]:
