guṇānāṃ paramaṃ rūpaṃ na dṛṣṭipatham ṛcchati /
yat tu dṛṣṭipathaṃ prāptaṃ tan māyeva sutucchakam //
The supreme form of the guṇas does not fall within the path of vision; / but what has reached the path of vision is extremely trivial, like an illusion.
The highest form of the constituents does not come within the range of sight; what comes within the range of sight is utterly empty, like a magic show.
