cintēnti taō vippā, ēsa pahāvō muṇissa nikkhuttaṁ
balaviriyasamatthā vi ya, tēṇa'mhē thambhiyā ihaī

Then the brahmins thought: “This is solely the power of the sage; / even though we possess strength and prowess, we have been paralyzed right here by him.
