aha bhaṃte! lohī-ṇīhū-thīhū-thibhagā-assakaṇṇī-sīhakaṇṇī-siuṃḍhī-musuṃḍhīṇaṃ–eesi ṇaṃ je jīvā mūlattāe vakkamaṃti? evaṃ ettha vi dasa uddesagā jaheva āluvaggo, navaraṃ–ogāhaṇā tālavaggasarisā, sesaṃ taṃ ceva|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti|

"Now, Venerable Sir, those souls who pass into existence as the roots of lohī, nīhū, thīhū, thibhagā, aśvakarṇī, siṃhakarṇī, siuṇḍhī, and musuṇḍhī?" In this manner here too, ten uddeśakas [are to be stated] just like the āluka group, with this difference: body size is similar to the tāla group; the rest is just that.
"It is true, Venerable Sir! It is true, Venerable Sir!"
